Located in the heart of the vibrant community of Miami, Florida, our project in Bal Harbour epitomizes the blending of refined aesthetics and functional design, creating an ambiance that exudes both warmth and sophistication. Amidst miles of sun-soaked coastlines and azure ocean views, we had the privilege of creating a home for our discerning client—one that would truly reflect their personality and preferences, while encapsulating the stunning Bal Harbour views. Teaming up with the renowned Kosa Design, we embarked on this ambitious journey of designing, constructing, and furnishing this luxurious 7th-floor abode.
It is not just about creating an apartment; it is about crafting an experience. Each piece of furniture, every line of construction, speaks of our commitment to flawless design and exceptional craftsmanship. A showcase of curated style and grandeur, the Bal Harbour I project is reflective of our impeccable attention to detail, ranging from the selection of pristine travertine for the floors and walls, to the handpicked furniture and art pieces. Embedded deep within our design philosophy is the appreciation for uniqueness; for custom creations that tell a story; and for encapsulating the essence of the client within a living space. This project stands as an embodiment of that philosophy.
In the world of architecture and design, the tangible is always grounded in the abstract. At the core of this project lays the client’s vision of a second home—a tropical retreat, where the color palette is vibrant, the atmosphere is relaxed, and a part of nature resides in every corner. To actualize this vision, we reached out to various artists across the globe, whose art pieces not only complemented the space, but also resonated with the client’s personality. Here, every room unfolds as a saga, every wall tells a tale, and every vista echoes the drone of the ocean waves. We take immense pride in the relationships we have curated with esteemed companies such as Liagre, Natuzzi, Polyform, and Avenue Road. Working meticulously in collaboration, we sought to curate an exquisite selection of unique furniture and lighting pieces tailored for this project.
Bal Harbour I doesn’t just house furniture but also a selection of compelling works of art from international artists. We were fortunate to collaborate with emerging and established artists such as the innovative Tomas Graeff from Brazil who designed the entrancing entrance mirror. Adding a splash of vibrant tropical colors throughout the home was essential for our client. Since this was their second home, they desired a bright, tropical feel that would distinguish it from their primary residence.
The delicate task of selecting harmonious pieces of art, which not only coexist with the living space and bond with the personality of its inhabitants, was a challenge that we accepted with grace. Replete with commissioned works from artists worldwide, such as Argentinian Calman Shemi, Brazilians Andre Poli and Valeria Rocchiccioli, and Israeli Ronen Azulay, the residence is an art aficionado’s dream. The Belgian photographer Tom D. Jones´ picture of a beach stirred memories of the client´s childhood and was thus added to the list, invoking a deeply intimate connection.
The master bedroom buzzes with the vibrant, nature-inspired works of Hunt Slonem. As nature finds its way in through the expansive windows, Slonems painting converses with the cityscape, encapsulating an audacious reminder of the lush tropics and reinforcing the client´s intent for a more tropical atmosphere.
Every project that we undertake is a unique journey for us –a path we tread with care and precision. With every effort, we strive to create homes that stand as personal sanctuaries, artfully conceived to embody the idiosyncrasies of those who inhabit them. We design, envision, and build with love and dedication, ensuring that each home resonates with the warmth and comfort of a dream habitat.
